I teach jazz, rock, and pop piano lessons online and in-person in the Sawtelle area of West LA. With over 17 years of piano experience, I specialize in improvisation, songwriting, and learning to play by ear. I take an easygoing, person-first approach to teaching and am passionate about helping students find their voice at the keys. I especially enjoy working with beginners and adult learners who want to play songs they love— no prior experience required!

My background includes performing with jazz and klezmer ensembles at Tufts University, playing piano for improv comedy groups, writing songs for musical theater, and performing with local bands. I am currently preparing to release an album of original songs.

When I’m not teaching, I’m creating. I’m a pianist, guitarist, composer, and singer-songwriter who writes heartfelt songs with a wry, story-driven edge. You can usually find me performing with indie rock band Mild Child, playing a solo set in a café, or laying down keys at a recording session.
